Equipped with a spacious stainless steel flat plate as a standard feature, this scale facilitates the weighing of containerized items using the Tare and Zero buttons to determine net weight.
All software previously compatible with the CAS PDII seamlessly interfaces with the new CAS PDN, as they share identical technical specifications. The only notable change lies in the enhanced outer design featuring a sleek black/ivory casing and rounded edges.

POS SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY
The CAS PDN boasts compatibility with a wide array of mainstream retail POS software packages, including ICR Touch, CES (Geller/Sentinel) Touch, Samtouch, EPOS Now, and InfiPos. For compatibility with other POS software, kindly consult your app provider to verify whether your application has been developed and tested for use with CAS PDII or PDN.

CUSTOMER/OPERATOR DISPLAY
The standard PDN model features a 6-digit Dual-Display system, incorporating an integrated operator display at the front and a customer display on the side. These displays exhibit weight in kilograms up to three decimal places.
An optional Remote Pole Display model, available from SAM Software Solutions with a 2-meter cable, provides a 2-sided external pole display that can be positioned, fixed, and adjusted on your counter to the desired distance, height, and angle.
POS SCALE OPERATION
The PDN scale seamlessly transmits weight readings to your POS software, allowing your compatible POS system to retrieve the weight, look up the unit price, and calculate the total price. The process involves placing items on the scale, selecting the corresponding product on your POS software, and letting the system automatically read the weight, calculate the price based on the ‘per kg’ rate, and add the item/price to the transaction for printing on the bill.
CONNECTION & COMMUNICATION
The CAS PDN POS integrated weighing scale can be easily configured with different communication protocols through its setup menu, catering to the specific parameters of your POS system. The package includes a 9-pin RS232 Serial cable, requiring a 9-pin Male serial port on your POS terminal (or a suitable adapter). Configuration steps involve informing your POS software about the integrated scale, specifying the COM port number, and setting up communication preferences. Additionally, in your product database, you may need to identify scale-linked products and their respective ‘Per Kg’ prices.
